Youth-led ‘Live Life Music’ and Southeast High Making Music Better for Oklahoma Students
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Jan 27, 2022)
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — After months of fundraising, partnering with Oklahoma businesses and organizations, and hosting a summative live music concert in the fall, the entirely student-operated non-profit Live Life Music has handed a $10,533 check to the music department at Southeast High School.
In a visit made on January 28th, the various teens with the organization made the official donation to Southeast. This was accompanied with an orchestrated performance by SEHS students, as well as sentiments expressed from Live Life Music and Southeast students about the importance of music. Live Life Music’s mission is to support communities through the fine arts. In complacency with that, music director Maya Johnson and other school administrators plan to purchase new instruments, repair existing ones, and make numerous other additions to their musical supplies with the organization’s donation.
Live Life Music has worked to serve local and general communities since 2018, and can be followed on their website (livelifemusicok.org) and various social media outlets.
Live Life Music thanks the Southeast faculty and students for their partnership and diligence.
